Privacy
This site counts how often each page is loaded, and keeps nothing about you.
What's counted
- Each page load adds one to that page's total for the day. Nothing else is kept: no cookies, nothing stored in your browser, no IDs, and no record of who you are, where you came from or what else you looked at.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is counted.
- Daily totals are kept for 90 days.
Who handles what
- GitHub Pages hosts the site. Like any web host, GitHub sees your IP address when it sends you a page. Its privacy statement explains what it keeps.
- The page counter is my own, and it runs on Cloudflare at stats.co-local.co.uk. Cloudflare handles your IP address to deliver the count and to block floods of requests. The counter itself keeps only the daily totals. Cloudflare is a US company, and its data processing addendum covers transfers out of the UK.
- Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free service based in the EU, also counts visits until about 25 November 2026, while I compare the two. Its privacy policy explains what it keeps.
Why
To see which pages people read. The totals can't identify anyone, so there's nothing about you to ask for, change or delete.
